Don & Doris Peavey 

Over 35 years ago, Dona and Doris Peavey answered God’s call to missions in Haiti.  They are the founders and directors of Ebenezer Glenn Orphanage near Dessalines.  With the Lord’s help they have been able to train and build lives to further the Kingdom of God - Proverbs 22:6.  They have enjoyed watching the children grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually into adulthood.  Graduates of EGO include, nurses, accountants, computer operators, teachers and worship leaders – Ephesians 4:11-13 

Today at EGO there are 12 buildings on 12 acres including the Clinic, the Tabernacle and dorms for the babies and children. The Johnathan School offers children of EGO an education in a secure and pleasant atmosphere, as well as providing an opportunity to reach out to children of the community. 

Through the years many members of Maranatha Bible Church have spent time helping at EGO.  The Peavey’s ministry has been instrumental in our churches strong emphasis on missions as well as influencing several individuals to go into full time missionary work.

Maranatha began supporting the Peaveys in 1986.

Prayer Requests: 

1. Pray for Don and Doris’s health (they are both in their late 70’s)
2. Pray for the school project—they are laying foundation for the first stage of a three-story secondary school.
3. Expenses—their basic need amount on a monthly basis has tripled in the last two years.
4. A new bus
5. One of the biggest problems—rebellious teens.
6. Most of all pray for Satan to be defeated and the souls of all the children be redeemed, as well as for those they reach out to in the village.
