Passionate

At Maranatha, we are passionate about…

bullet

…the supremacy of Jesus Christ!
In John 14:6, Jesus announced, “I am the way, and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” The world says that it doesn’t matter what you believe, as long as you sincerely believe something. But Jesus Himself says this just isn't so. He reigns supreme, and He is our one and only Hope.

…the authority of the Bible!
The Bible is a book that makes extraordinary claims about itself. In fact, 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that it doesn’t just contain God’s word, but that it is God’s Word, and is therefore the relevant standard for every area of life.

bullet

…the unity of the Church!
Acts 2:37-47 reveals that the first Christians were not only deeply committed to Christ, but also to one another. At MBC, we strive to walk in their footsteps, demonstrating genuine unity with, and sacrificial love for one another.

bullet

…the significance of prayer!
We are convinced that prayer is the lifeblood of a healthy church. The God of the Bible is a God of relationship, and prayer is the means He’s given us to grow closer to Him. In fact, Psalm 145:18 declares that “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him.”

bullet

…the salvation of the lost!
Jesus’ final instruction, in Matthew 28:18-20 was to “go and make disciples.” That mandate still applies to every Christian man, woman and young person today, and it’s a call we take seriously. People need the Good News about Jesus, and we strive to take it to them in both word and deed.
